I graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, with an emphasis in Statistics from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. I graduated in 2013 with a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance, also from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.
Experience
I have been tutoring math for 12 years. I have tutored both high school and college level mathematics, working in the Math Learning Center at my university for 6 years. I have also tutored SAT Math, ACT Math, GRE Math, and the GMAT exams. I enjoy helping students realize their potential, and to overcome their fear of math. I find that more often than not students that have trouble in math do so out of being intimidated by it, and not because of a lack of ability. When I notice this in students I work to both increase their knowledge as well as their confidence as I have seen former students achieve great success in the future when they were no longer intimidated by math. I currently work for the State of Colorado as a Statistical Analyst II where I use MS Excel and Access to perform various statistical tests and processes day to day.

Hobbies
I am a sports nut, and I mostly enjoy baseball and football. As a statistician I enjoy seeing how the numbers work in the world of sports as it gives them real world application which can make it easier for students to relate to. I also enjoy being outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, etc. As a math enthusiast, I find it enjoyable to see how math works in nature.
