Experience
I am a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines. My next goal is to save enough money for postgraduate study in the fall. I plan to become a university-level educator in marine geology. High school and basic college-level physics (calculus and non-calculus based) are my specialty; I also have extensive knowledge of math through differential equations. I am also proficient in earth and environmental sciences and chemistry. My goal in tutoring students is helping them to achieve a complete understanding of the subject we are working on. I know all students learn differently and that the way one learns may not be the technique used inside the classroom. I believe that with the right personalized attention, students can overcome that difference and be confident in their understanding of the material. I work with students of all ages and gain satisfaction in being the go-between in the tutoring process. I can help students to understand the topic at hand, even when their learning strategy isn't the one that is used in the classroom.I am currently based in Littleton, Colorado. When I'm not tutoring students, I enjoy outdoor pursuits like hiking and backpacking. I also enjoy reading fiction for pleasure, cooking, and playing games.
