I am a tutor with experience studying and teaching math. I graduated from the University of Colorado- Colorado Springs. I have twelve years of experience tutoring students both privately and in a college setting for six years. I am able to tutor math at the elementary school level, middle school level, high school level, and college level. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of different subjects, including algebra, calculus, geometry, pre-calculus, statistics, trigonometry, pre-algebra, and discrete math. I can also help students prepare for standardized tests. Tutoring is especially rewarding for me when I run in to my students and hear about how successful they've been since I tutored them. I enjoy hearing about how they took the lessons I taught them and applied them to future courses. I am adept at adapting my teaching strategy to fit a wide range of learning styles. I value feedback from my students because this helps me develop a strategy that works best for the student. Though I can teach many different subjects, I specialize in statistics. My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes the fact that students get what they put in to learning. My goal is to help my students not only learn complex concepts, but teach them how to learn these types of concepts on their own in the future. In my free time, I enjoy attending sporting events, playing racquetball, camping, and fishing.
