I obtained my Master's and Bachelors of Science degrees in Geology from University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. I have been in the mining industry for 4 years working in Canada and Arizona, with a recent move to Colorado. During my professional career I have consistently been involved in student outreach and STEM programs, primarily, encouraging girls to pursue science and technology career fields. During my university career I had many opportunities and experiences teaching and tutoring elementary and high school students. Below are some examples of my tutoring experiences: Focus Learning Centre (May 2009 to May 2012) - Private tutoring of high school students from grades 4-12. Tutored students in problematic class concepts and encouraged them to explore a variety of new subject areas. The range of subject areas tutored includes: Math, Eng, Chem, Phys, Bio, ESL. I also assisted students with school projects and homework assignments. I enjoy travelling and have gotten the opportunity to visit many places around the world.
