I am a tutor with a particular love of Biology. I graduated back in May with a degree in Biology, as well as a degree in Psychology. Since graduation, I have been preparing to apply to medical school. I am the oldest of five children, and because of this I spent quite a bit of my life helping my siblings with their schoolwork. By tutoring my siblings from such a young age, I have had the chance to develop my skills as a teacher. This experience helped me when I took a position with the University of Colorado, as a recitation instructor. During my tenure there, I taught upper division genetics. It was during my time there that I fell in love with teaching all over again. I am also able to assist with standardized test prep, and I myself have scored in the 95th percentile of the SAT, ACT, and more. I would like to tutor others while I go through the medical school application process as I want to be sure I don't get rusty academically. I also love tutoring because it's rewarding, and there's nothing better than witnessing the look of happiness on a student's face as they finally grasp new concepts. My hobbies include hiking through the Rocky Mountains and playing guitar.
